Hit sounds in pre-game - possible?

I'd love to have hit sounds in pre-game as well, as it would help when practicing aim/movement (also great for rookies). Is there any chance of that happening in 268?
I realize it might be tricky as there is no actual damage in pre-game, but maybe there's a way to work around that? (Like carrying out the attack, but only dealing a tiny fraction of the damage.)

That's right but it doesn't add hit sounds.
I know that mod (and love it), but I'd rather see this in the vanilla game. Only a handful of servers run PGP.
Of course, if the CDT were to merge PGP into vanilla, I'd be happy, too
Oh, it doesn't? I assumed there'd be hit sounds with it, as you can actually kill each other.
There's hitsounds with that mod since for the hitsound to play it has to actually do damage to another player, which you can with that mod on.
I use that to psych out marines. And when marines start shooting at you to practice their aim, start running in straight lines towards them along the floor to lull them into a false sense of security
Turns out I was wrong. Sorry.
I like to beat my opponents with skill and out-cunning. But thanks for the advice
I do the same. I also psych out aliens as a marine. I drop my weapons and sprint and oval track around the map. I never stop sprinting, and always follow the same route. I completely ignore the aliens, I just keep running my route, around and around and around the map. Sometimes in SCC map testing nights I've made as many as 8 complete laps of a map
The aliens realise I have no fear of them, and no matter how much they attack me, they cannot kill me. I will do what I am meant to do. Deep psychological messages imparted.
Only trouble is, I am so crap, even with that huge psychological dis-advantage, most players are better than me...
Would you rather have rookies that can't hit anything in-game?
I really don't see a better place to practice basic attacks (circle-strafing as a Skulk, jump-biting without losing speed, 3D tracking as a Marine) than the pre-game.
Playing with bots is not nearly as effective because you spend too much time respawning, and you can't tell the bots to stand still for practice. Also, it makes use of time that's otherwise wasted.
If ANYTHING, there's a mod on some NA servers (TG? maybe?) that forces all attacking commands to stay client side. So you can still run around, bite, do w/e without annoying everyone else in the server to hell.
