CDT, when can we expect linux client improvements

With linux developers confirmed to be on the CDT, can we expect linux client fixes in 268? I can't point to any particular problems - I haven't tried the linux build since it first came out, just another of those users that 'would switch to linux is <insert program> was available here. (and it worked properly)."
I've spoken to some users and they said they wouldn't recommend changing now due to crashing and the OpenGL implementation being out of date or getting considerably less fps than Windows (50%?).
Just things I've heard. Some facts would be great.
Would like to hear what current linux users (@Mazza) have to say about NS2 support and what sort of work is being done to get it up to scratch.
