<div class="IPBDescription">As if we didn't have enough!</div> Everyone says "Just hand out, the XXX and XXX" or "just build xxx and xxx"

Well sheesh.

Commanders: What makes a good commander is the ability to adapt to your situation.

There are plenty of variables. Number of people on each team, if you were commander from beginning or if you took over, tactics of other team, troop quality on both teams, the response time of the players, ping, if the players die right after you give them good guns, or if they're cautious, the way the map is layed out, heck even the personality of the commander..... alot of variables.

No one set thing will work in every situation. There is no perfect build order and plan. The maps are not just different to look "pretty". One tactic may work on one map but not on another. Sometimes turret farming works, sometimes going techie works, sometimes just handing out shotties and jetpacks work.... but not always. Take into account your situation, and look ahead. If a tactic isn't working, change it. The key is to be flexible, and be creative. Take what you have, and make it a win. WIth a team of L337 players, you may not even bother with heavy armor because the guys can hold their own. With newbie players, heavy armor may be the only thing that gives them a chance. Take what you can do to it's limits- get inside the enemys decision makeing process and make them react rather than act. Your advantage being frontiersmen is that you have a centralized command. If not used well, this can be a disadvantage.

Thank you, thats all ^_^

Often, a one or two marines will spam their request for "JETPACK ADN STOTGUN!" and whatnot, while I desperately administer direction and supplies to frontline fighters. I understand how hard it is to see the big picture when all you've got between a heatbeat and gruesome dismemberment is a little healthbar and ammo that keeps running out. I don't expect those spammy people to change either. However, it's certainly possible to calm them down a bit, and just acknowledging them is often enough to cool them off. Once you get their stressful and demanding messages out of voice chat or teamchat, your whole team gets a little morale boost. Try and preserve that mood of teamwork and harmony; it makes things go much better in the trenches. If that means giving a loudmouth his jetpack or healthpack just once to soothe him, it's usually worth it.
