As you might have heard, the Combat mod for NS2 is going standalone.
After months of developing we have reached a point where we need additional support with finding bugs, glitches and exploits to make the game ready for release. This is where YOU come in!
We are currently assembling a Faultline Games Playtest Team to do exactly that. Are you interested in joining?

We are currently assembling a Faultline Games Playtest Team to do exactly that. Are you interested in joining?
The duties of a PT include:
- Finding and reporting bugs, and testing fixes
- Balance suggestions and tweaks
- Participation in our weekly scheduled playtests
- You have to show up to playtests regularly and reliably
- You have to be ready to invest your free time into playing and improving NS2:Combat, during scheduled and improvised PTs
- Be professional!
- Exclusive access to the newest internal builds (under NDA)
- Help the NS2 community by improving NS2:Combat!
If you are interested,
APPLY HERE!
For now you are required to have a copy of NS2 but that requirement will be gone once we are on steam with our standalone SDK.
If you have any questions, please feel free to post them in this thread.
Good luck!

I hope you guys get lots of great PT's.
Basically because even with the super low res mod, my comp is extremely shit as terms of FPS go. Which of course limits my limits of ability to either do one of two things with NS2. To player commander, or to play alternate roles such as resource/cyst harrassment as a marine, or healing, bile bombing, gorge tunnel building... gorge.
None of these roles I will be allowed to do with NS2: Combat. Which of course, I can look past, if the support of xmenu is imported from Ns1 to this combat version (also excluding the comp specs, price, etc). Because the thought of the nostalgia of upgrading armor, health, bloodlust, is almost worth excusing all of these above factors.
Anyways that's just my two cents... two strings.. whatever..
what would the estimated time of your selection process?
About how long should a applicant wait for word of Acceptance/Rejection?
From the end of the application:
Any mods out there that can make this a sticky please?
Waiting feedback...
Totally want to help out.
