SWORDS. Making Exosuits more honorable warriors.

Swords are by far the coolest and most honorable weapon. Exosuits fail at hand to hand combat, especially against other samurai. Give them the benefit of dying with honor, and not like dogs.

to be fair, there are swords in warhammer 40k and light sabers in star wars.
imo it's not a no-go, but it's probably too much effort to model, animate, program (should probably behave differently than the claw unless you only stab forward all the time) just for the sake of some style (that not everybody will like). i'd rather have that spent on something even more awesome, e.g. ns1-style nukes.

In all seriousness though, I could see an upgrade to the fist to have a blade on it, nothing huge but something functional. Perhaps a chainsaw, large structure damage - pure awesomeness.

Would be awesome with a large rectangular shield to block block bile bomb and shield bash onos in the face.

Also minigun exos with a claw and one minigun should be able to draw a knife with the claw hand and stab aliens like in the movie avatar .
