NSL Maptesting

Heya NS2 players!

I already received some messages from various players & maybe we need a post on UWE Forums to clarify/clear the situation & give more details, informations about the current NSL Maptesting.

First of all, you have to know this is not previous UWE Maptesting, there are some common points, but a lot of differences too. That is NSL Maptesting, so, of course, that means, only competitive players. And I have to be honest, the last UWE Maptesting was composed, mostly with Premiere Division players, the current one, is open for more people, regardless of your own NSL Division (Premiere, 1, 2, 3 or even 4). If you're very active on NS2, motivated to help, on the field, to give feedbacks, or if you're a mapper, no matter, you're free to join us & help us to reach our goal.

Yeah, but, what is your goal actually? Perhaps, you saw some of my messages on the UWE Mappers posts & topics, we are composed around 14/15 active & competitive players currently, & our goal is pretty simple, make competitive (for 6 vs. 6) some custom maps made by many mappers. That is not something you can do easily, I mean, you have to know matches system & learn few rules about competitive matches (we're using CompMod for example). Our job is to give feedbacks on the forums (UWE or NSL), find bugs, whatever, everything to make a map balanced (layout?), original & interesting for other players, not just us.

In general, we have our own private section on the NSL forums, to work properly, but sometimes, we have to post on UWE or other public forums.
A new group was created on the http://www.ensl.org/
If you're interested, please, just contact me on Steam (same nickname), here on the UWE website, or in the NSL one, previously mentioned.
You're welcome to help us, & we need you, so many maps must be played on competitive, and maybe in public? NS2-Fr.com provide us a dedicated server to do our job, a lot of thanks.

At the moment, we're working & testing some maps maybe you already know, don't hesitate to take a look on http://forums.unknownworlds.com/categories/mapping This is not an obligation to join us, & you can help & give feedback yourself to mappers on their dedicated threads, they need it. All our sessions occur around 21 CEST every thursdays (we have only 2 US players unhappily because of the time itself).

I have to admit, Mineral is the one that needs the more our help, in an advanced state. But that doesn't mean, we forgot the other maps, ns2_caged, ns2_fusion & why not ns2_temple are in our line of sight. For any questions, let's ask them on this thread.

Hopefully, we could make these maps balanced & playable, + help other mappers to work on their own maps!
