    There's some Wh40k space marines for UT on Polycount.. I'm sure someone could convert those to NS.

    i think Imperial Gaurd would be an easier model to animate/fit NS theme. as for aliens... you'd have to be careful. that genestealer... isn't.... so.... great... so lets get some original models eh? i'll go dig up my boltgun, bolt pistol, wh40k shotgun and autocannon models, if i haven't deleted them. and i'm sure i can whip up something for the grenny.

    Yea I really want WH40K Space Marines skins pack. I want to chose Black Templars or Ultramarines. I have found out that Ultramarines has the Best Tyraind Hunters squad! Better make Ultramarine Tyraind Hunters skins pack!

    If someone makes a Space Marine mesh I'll definately try to skin it. Failing that, I'll learn to model and do one myself.     I am currently on the work to mod the Basic Marine to a Space Marine armour (which with a simple reskin could reflect any Space Marine Chapter) plus I am also modding the Heavy armour to Terminator armour.

    Originals will be in Blood Angel colours, but like I said, simple reskin will fix your need for any Space Marine Chapter.

    I'm a n00b to animation.. and from what I understand, 3ds max is a vile creation for Character models.

    I'll keep you posted as the model unfolds. One of my Co-Workers is aiding me on finding a good triangle count so to look good, yet not so blocky and low poly.

    (I'll be waiting of course to see if the Dev team eliminates my efforts before I start. )

    I for one would much prefer Imperial Gurad over Space Marines. Catachans would rule! But if we wanted a more fitting group of attackers we couldn't do much worst than Storm Troopers (Not the star wars ones)

    THe reason I'm using standard space marines is because It's mainly for my Chapter.

    I'm waiting on NS Dev team decision.

    Personally custom models make the game better.. In CS not one of my models is the original.. they're hardcore high poly shiney models.

    I just DLed the Pulse Rifle from Aliens that someone on the forums here did.. and god damn it's so nice..

    I've been looking for the sounds as a replacement.. now I have both..

    Makes the game.


    I'm acutally using pictures from Rival Spiecies as a base.. BUT I am making them higher poly for shininess. I'm going to need to probably build custom animations.. but I don't like the original animations from NS.. THe marines run like they are fairies lol.. so I'm gunna make them more heavy on the foot.. like they are wearing armour and stuff.. hopefully it'll work.

    I've been fooling about with a Power Armour skin recently, and I'm around 30% though it. I'm using the Ultramarines as a base and I can easily work off that for other chapters. As far as IG in NS goes, I don't think it would be a very accurate representation. Guard would get ripped to shreds by Tyranids (or Orks for that matter) if they tried to cleanse a hulk in a small group, and besides, marines are much more impressive <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Anyway, heres a little preview (WIP, of course). The is a much smaller version than the one that I'm working on, too.

    Hyakki that skin looks pretty good.. Could use more of a flat blue tho. Seriously if this turns out good could I do a Blood Angels skin for yours?

    Instead of trying to learn animation..

    Plus I think most use Milkshape.. and I'm using 3ds Max..

    Excellent work ^_^ I can't wait to see a Terminator armor tho... man I just love how those things look, so mean.... (But none the less Starcannon fodder!).

    Yea, for the Tyranids I'd have to say

    Skulk = Hormagant, Genestealers are just too large and vicious to be the basic species
    Gorge = Termagant, best fit really, basic ranged attacker, pretty weak...
    Lerk = Gargoyle, flyer, no contest
    Fade = Warrior or Lictor, I'm torn, either could work
    Onos = Carnifex, no contest
