Often when players are idling in the readyroom long after the game has started, the players in the game will vote to "randomize readyroom" to get them to either play or free up a server slot. The problem is that most of the time those people are AFK, so you just burden the game with a ballast of AFK players. If you want to vote to kick them when they are on the team, you have to explain to the whole server that they are AFK, and the players have to be paying attention to both the chat log and the vote in order to successfully kick them. Then, every so often, you were wrong, and they were just tweaking their graphics settings or whatever, and they get mad at you for trying to kick them.
Instead, we need the ability to vote to kick the players in the readyroom. Anyone who isn't AFK can just hurry up and join a team before the vote completes. Anyone who is will get kicked without any more coordination or discussion.
