Is it likely that the mac port will be finished in the future?

I am a shadow tier donor, and NS2 is one of my favourite games. Period.

I have showed the game to many of my friends and a lot of them have started playing; the only concern is some of the people I showd it to play Mac, and can't play NS2, as it isn't ported to Mac. I heard that it was announced that a Mac port was said to be, but it was never gotten around to. I'm just wondering if anyone knows if there will be one in the future, as I would like for my friends to play the great game that is NS2!

Also, would any other NS2 players enjoy the idea of a Mac port?

Be an even better buddy now and encourage your friends to add a PC to their arsenal

It would have put up sales, make a larger community, and hey, we already have a Linux port, but no Mac?

SADFACE.

Even if it takes a while, it's still worth it. Although it would be best for it to happen sooner, for the community.

If they have a Mac, they already have a PC.

Back in 2012-2013, some people did work to get NS2 to run with Wine. This is likely your best bet, although it is probably going to be slow at best. Wine currently runs on MacOS. However, dealing with Wine is often a rabbit hole with no bottom.
