Improve commander hotkeys and gameplay!

The goal of this thread is to improve the commander gameplay (especially for more advanced players).
As a player gets better and better playing as a commander he starts using hotkeys, but i noticed that there is a "bug" in the hotkeys. As you press "c" to see the map to command your team, at the same time you are selecting some structure to build. This can, sometimes, ruin a game as a commander spends his precious resources in something that is useless for the situation.
What I'm suggesting here is to change the random hotkeys so that new players don't need to customize their's, making it easier to a player to get used to a random set of hotkeys.
Please feel free to do some suggestions!

In other words, a key for the commander should not activate on key press but on key release. And if the time between press and release is bigger then some time then use whatever other function is binded to the key (like the map).
c is just bad in its current implementation. I hope UWE fixes this.
