Ultra wide monitor gives fisheye effect 21:9 support please!

Really enjoying the aspect ratio of this monitor and works well in quite a few games already. I find it feels more natural than 16:9 monitors

As you can see from the pictures below when I rotate the passenger lift get much larger(2x) on the second image on the right hand side.

2560 x 1080 - 21:9

As wide screen monitors are on the up there is a website that shows game support for different games.
here is NS2 at the moment - http://www.wsgf.org/dr/natural-selection-2/en

Would be really nice to not have it do this!

Simple question to a dev would this be fixable?

I have no solution for you but I think these monitors are really cool and wanted to say props. I hope it works well because I think it would be great.

I think I asked a little while back about this for my 5760 X 1080 monitor setup, all I got was "It'll be in a future build".
This was about 6-7 months ago.

Doubt they'll do anything for it though due to SN, and besides it's just an inconvenience, nothing major.

SN would benefit from this also!

They might have just forgotten about it. if we keep talking about it they may put it forward or suggest for SN and port to NS2.

    Rate it up! :)

I'm assuming thats a 3 monitor setup? or 48:9(16:3) ratio? seems slightly trickier to make look right than 21:9 only just because the gui doesn't need moving just the fisheye.

Wow that HUD is so far to the left and right, you'd have to take a train ride to the other side of your monitor to check your health :D

Easy solution, crank up fov to max.

The fov is maxed out. I think its down to not supporting the resolution.

I don't see how you can avoid that, or if it is a good thing to do at all.

Do you have example of games that do not do that? Because it is a normal behavior for me.

The game does not show the entire UI or HUD when playing in widescreen modes. This makes the game unplayable when playing wide screen. Please fix this soon! Thanks!

@Dubh, what resolution? A friend of mine just got a 2560x1080 (21:9) monitor and is not having issues. His screenshots looked amazing. I was surprised there wasn't even any fish eye effect. He was playing at max FOV.

Yes, if you can get us some screenshots of this happening, we can try to fix it. Without anything to go on though... there's not much we can do to help you.
