Laggy map

ok, ive made a part from a ns map and it laggs like hell. im pretty sure that there are no gaps or holes and still it laggs. I tryed the option "check for problems" but when I tryed that all the doors didnt work any longer. and Ive read the FAQ at <a href="http://www.planethalflife.com/wavelength/levels/" target="_blank">http://www.planethalflife.com/wavelength/levels/</a>   and the forum FAQ. heres the map, be sure to run some antivirus-program cause im not gona buy a new comp if everything goes to hell

    I couldn't get it to compile on my system. I checked for problems in "VHE" (WC) and it had a bunch of "brush based entity is empty" errors in there. I told it to fix em, but it wouldn't do anything. It thinks that there is entities there, but there isn't. And you can't delete their imaginary presence.

    I can't say this has ever happened to me...

    I'm sure some of the Valve-ERC forums goers around here know what is happening though...


    The reason your map is laggy is because VIS and RAD were not run because of the errors. It cut short at BSP or CSG. VIS is the compilation tool that makes maps run smooth (to make a long story short).


    (Side note: I noticed that the whole thing is outdoors... not good for NS.)

    I was actuly going to have most of it in underground caves and labs and the alien base a chrased spaceship, but oh well.

    Yeah, the brush based entity thing happens when you make a new entity from the brushes of an existing entity, while having ignore groups on. To delete them, you have to use the Problem locator to select them (Goto Error), exit the problem finder, then push the delete button. Those errors don't really appear to do much harm, though.
