Hello everyone!
While not strictly relevant to the NS2 forum, I have seen this question being asked here as well: "Why is Subnautica using Unity, and not the Spark Engine."
You can find an answer to that question right here in this SN thread: http://forums.unknownworlds.com/discussion/133601/why-is-subnautica-using-unity-and-not-the-spark-engine?

Start the conspiracy theories about Valve accidentally losing ALL their progress on Source 2.0/HL3 because the intern spilled coffee on the singular computer at Valve. Of course this lead to them asking UWE to use the Spark engine for HL3.
UWE = 3 letters
NS2 = 3 letters
Next number after 2 = 3
Number of people working on Spark full time = 3
Zen of Sudoku = 3 words
Current NS2 Build number = 261 = 2+6+1 = 9 = divisible by 3
Number of agrees this post will get = 3
It all makes so much sense now.
is there a little chance to get information about the current spark engine: plans, progress ?
I believe this is what they call divine intervention.
I wanted to tag the 3rd flag and someone did also. Now its 4.
