New discovery: server can be set to bot play?

in NS2 General Discussion
2 weeks ago I joined a server with 7 players and to my surprise, the human team was all marines and the alien team was all bots. I think this would be an excellent setting for newbies as they learn marine weapons/tactics and get familiar with the maps. Why isn't this more common?

    You probably played on a vs bots server, which you can do through the training mode.

    The TacticalGamer server runs this mod for regulars to help seed the server to 10 players to get a regular game going. Not able to play against marine bots yet without using cheats, though. You can play against bots on a local server in the training menu.
