Question about the shadow tier

So I was thinking about getting the shadow tier from the reinforcement program and then I saw that not all of the aliens had a shadow form. So basically my question is, if they add say a shadow Onos, will I also get it if I bought it before they had added it?

The other reason you want Shadow tier is that it makes you more beautiful and intelligent.
