Majesty RTS ACTION game or influence on Natural Selection 2?

Maybe some ideas for this game or for a new combined RTS - ACTION game.

Long long ago ... there was a game that is an RTS where you played as an RTS commander without direct control over your units. Sounds familiar to "Natural Selection Commanders"?
I hadn't played a game like this before from the time I played Majesty.




This is why it seems a very interesting idea to use Majesty Concepts into a Natural Selection game.


Why is it interesting? In Majesty, the AI units are given incentives by placing rewards on targets (to kill / discover / or stay away from).
It gave an interesting flow to the game, as without having direct control over units you were still able to command them to go somewhere as you gave a reward for discovering that "spot".
That money could then be used by AI units to buy stuff in the shop that was build by you the commander player.


Might be an interesting Idea to have something like Majesty multiplayer vs AI campaign matchups in which the players fill in the AI unit spots (be a mage/warrior/rogue/ranger) and a commander guides the team through the campaign mission.



I hope that any of you devs reading this and not having a clue what majesty is, try and play it. It is a unique kind of game and if you have the introsound music will ring some bells ;-) .


Yes there is a game released that is called "Majesty 2", but it is no where as good as the first game.
