So Halloween sale has just gone by and we have ourselves some new faces to NS2. When i first started playing NS i must admit i found it frustrating because i was being killed constantly by some really good players, which is why i think UW needs to create a option that can put you into a game, with people of equal skill level to you, while Retaining the current system along side, that way new players may not have such a hard time. <:-P

Also to expand further, have the first few games you play on ns2, force you in to some kind of tutorial server with other new players to ensure all players get the right core knowledge for the game.

    Hi, welcome to the forum.

I agree with you that the start into ns2 can be pretty rought, but there is already a matchmaking rising ( read more here: http://unknownworlds.com/ns2/organised-play-systems/). Also the tag "rookie friendly" is there to help rookies to decide what servers they should try first.

Most players consider the official uwe servers as kind of learning servers. Also the explore mode and bots + learning videos are meant to learn the basic things as ns2 is quiet too complex to be explained from the very basics in a normal round.

The best way to learn this game is to stick with one friendly community member who answers all your question and teachs you in detail everything ingame (first at a private botserver then in a uwe server and then a rookie friendly server).

I guess you have a good point! It is a complex game.

It's good to see that they are including this :)

    Thanks for your help!
