No, just like Combat we are working on this in our spare time, hopefully one day we can afford to work on games full time at least that is my dream and I'm sure many on the group share this dream.
You make it sound a bit negative when you put it that way, I'm curios do you have experience with spark?
To be fair he is not hyping it and I'm definitely not saying this because I'm on the dev team, the mod got incredible support from the community we got lots of maps and other cool stuff made for it, there was a good amount of servers ( more than any other mod out there ) dedicated to only running Combat, even UWE re-tweeted us when we put out patches and Hugh have done multiple Combat videos so yeah in that sense I'd say its one of the best mods out there for NS2.
I'm not bashing the mod, it's obvious to anyone it is the best and most popular mod NS2 has (had?). I was just agreeing with Snipo in that this is no momentous step as far as NS2 goes. The team behind the best mod leaving because the moddable engine is unmoddable isn't a good thing. In fact I'd be more inclined to label it an absolute disaster.
There is simply no way to put a positive spin on this event.

Thanks for all the updates in the past guys, specially JimWest, good luck in your future project, but don't spin it. you guys are leaving because you are sick of dealing with updates breaking the mod and you spending all your time to fix those bugs thanks again for all the fixes guys!
Good luck guys - really enjoyed the combat mod. It's really good for new players who don't get to try the higher lifeforms otherwise. Hope someone can step up and take over.
