Babblers

I would like to see them more usefull.

My ideas:
1. Babbler bait aim system is horrible. I would like to see "parasite style" bait: instant shoot in straight line instead of curve. Shooted marine might be outlined with some colour to inform that is target of babblers.
2. Some babbler health indicator would be nice. Near health status there are icons of babblers. Icons might be fill with % or colour of their health status.
3. Babblers are good only as armor bonus. In fight they deal only 10 dmg. Come on... Marines prefer to hug them instead of killing. Babblers might be more deadly ... deal more dmg or poison target.
4. Own babblers should be always visible, even far away behind wall to solve "where is my babblers?" problem. What about outline?

    Considering a set of babblers is 1 res I actually don't think they should be that useful. They do provide a good armour bonus but perhaps a good buff would be to make them silent such when attached, so they do not foil a good base rush whilst allowing you to survive a little longer on the bile rush.

    I'd prefer it if they were more akin to glass cannon melee. Do good damage for their cost but easily removed with concentrated fire. Right now, they feel like a minor nuisance for marines, like a fly buzzing around in your house.

    yea, their offensive capabilities are like... null.
    I can't remember the last time I saw a babbler kill :D

    Obviously I don't expect them to be ninja-oneshooting marines, but some kind of utlity, more than raw damage, would be welcome.

    Maybe... the babblers attached to a life form could bite close marines?
    Like, when a marine is in close proximity of an alien form with babblers, he will take periodic damage depending on the number of babblers on the alien, as long as the marine sticks close to it.

    ...Which were all on the day gorgeous came out xP Yea they're really only useful as extra armor atm

    I still want an upgrade that can be researched by the Khammander.

    It will allow the Gorge to tag a marine with a bait ball, and the Babblers will attach to the marine and slowly do damage, the marine will need another marine to shoot the Babblers off

    Babblers should behave like a group. When 1 babbler attacks a marine, others should rush help it instead of idling a few meters away. Now it's like 1 or 2 babblers try to bite the marine and when he goes a bit backwards, other babblers stay where the bait ball ordered them unless the marine goes close enough to get their attention. That's why they are useless. 10 damage is good enough, if they just go for a target and don't stop unless ordered back. If it's possible for skulk A.I. to go for a marine, I don't understand why it can't be done with babblers.
    ....oh, and the current bait ball sucks. It really should go in a straight line.
