[Bug report] Be respawning when game start

Just something you can do as marine. Go in the chair, and get someone to comm. Your position in the comm chair needs to make you die when the chair closes.

If an alien comm was present, the game shall start while you die (well; in the game logic I believe the problem is that the player dies after the game restarts...)

You then respawn while the soundish countdown starts.

    I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to report.

    Is the bug that the CC kills you? or that you respawn during the count down?

    Both of those seem like working as intended. Or does something weird happen in one of those cases?

    The former causes the latter.

    I don't think it's happening all the time thought. (Didn't test much however)

    In both cases, I think that is the intended behavior.

    The cc is supposed to kill people to keep you from getting the old "I got stuck in the cc and cant get out" bug/feature.

    From there you are dead, and should be in the respawn queue.

    I still feel like I am missing something. What is the behavior you were expecting?

    If you see the doors closing and you're not the one comming, RUN.

    It's just one of those things, ya know? If you hear that chair coming in on you and you didn't activate it, then you better run.

    Yeah right. Same thing with red plug in combat. Let's stop people from joining team.

    Id definitely mark this as a non issue.
    You have to sort of try to get killed by the chair, as you mentioned in your OP.
    Typical logging into the chair behavior consists of walking up to the screen and pressing E.
    As long as that doesn't kill you, and you have to jump about furiously in an attempt to find some sort of loophole that doesn't really pay off... I wouldn't even bother reporting it. ;)

    I think what he is saying is that when the round starts, all players should be alive, but he is in the respawn queue. How he died is irrelevant, he could have jumped into crevice, the point is, at round start, he expects all marines to be automatically alive. There shouldn't be a respawn queue until the game starts, he should just autospawn.

    Pretty much yes. I believe dying on that exact frame might cause the same scenario.

    What if 2 people race for the chair and one fails... (public games)
