Cant optimize for the game at all

Its been quite long since i played NS2 when i reformatted my Laptop, reinstalled NS2 through steam. i tried doing the one time optimization and it said some files were not matched. Did a verification of file integrity, said 100% verified then booted the game up again.. still did not match. not sure what to do
