Game crashes since build 256

Hi I was wondering if someone could help me out. I have read a bunch of posts and tried many different fixes but nothing works. As soon as I click the play button in the main menu the game locks up and I have to force close the game. I have never had this problem before.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Does the play button get all big and then the screen freezes?

if so, The amazing steve has posted a fix. It should work for you really nicely.

No, it opens the server finder then locks up right after.
