Advanced demo editing

Greetings!
Are there any demo editing programs around or maybe in development? I used to fiddle with Quake demos back in the days, where you could modify camera angles/movements, removing the HUD and plenty of other stuff.
If a tool like this existed I think the community would start pushing out (more) awsome NS2 videos.

@kalakuja the demo playback is only 1:1 if played back at the EXACT fps it was recorded at (lol). So if you have more fps it plays faster and less fps makes it play slower.
Could a tool/script like this be developed by the community?
Better make a converter in video formats and edit videos.
Performance > everything right now. I personally would like to see some ns2 demo tools become a medium priority in a few months maybe.
Well i know its something that they want to so. But i think it depend on how reinforcement turns out.
