Custom map test not working

Hi, i have made a test map but for some reason it just doesn't want to work. I have downloaded mendsaps one click map test and done all of the commands and everything correct, but when i install the map via the editor and the click test map, it launches ns2 on the start screen and has a pop up saying "Mod error". I have absolutely no idea why this is happening so if anybody could help me out that would be excellent. I have added ns2_game rules, ready room starts, team join, location, mini map, tech points...

Never mind i managed to get it to work by loading a standard map and then using a console command to load the map :)

Editor is a little broken right now.
Just launch the game, open the console and type:

    map ns2_mapname

Just change "mapname" with your map (obviously).

Thanks, this is what i used. It was "map mapname". However does it matter if my map doesn't have "ns2_" in front of the mapname?

yes if you dont have ns2_ then it is not classed as a map and wont load.

... or was it "map" instead of "changemap"... gonna check when i can and edit this post

    it's "map ns2_yourmapname"

Also, make sure you have an ns2 gamerules entity somewhere. I made that mistake once.
