After some very un-intensive testing, I decided to post some speeds and stuff:
Backpedal ~~ Speed/2, backpedal dual exo is 3.75
Strafe-jump: 11
Bunny-hop: 8
Single Exo speed: 5.29
Single Exo sprint speed: 6.7-7.1
Dual Exo speed: 4.69
Dual Exo sprint speed: 6-6.7
Rifle speed: 5.2/5.21
Rifle Sprint Speed 6.25
SG speed: 5.15/5.16
SG sprint speed: 6.18/6.19
GL speed: 5.11
GL sprint speed: 6.13
JP speed: 9 - 11.2
Flame speed: 5.16
Flame sprint speed: 6.19
Hatchet,pistol,welder speed: 5.4 5.85 without Primary weapon
Hatchet, pistol, welder Sprint speed: 6.5 7.03 without Primary weapon
Grenade speed: 5.36
Grenade sprint speed: 6.42/6.43
Mine speed: 4.46
Mine sprint speed: 5.35

Skulk base speed: 7.01
Skulk celery speed: 7.01
Skulk leap speed: 11
Gorge base speed: 6.01
Lerk base speed: 13
Fade base speed: 6.21
Fade blink speed: 14-15
Onos base speed: 7.21

Up to +.3-.5 for turning at correct angle, significant loss after sharp turns -4-5
Ppl have been saying 0.3 is the max bonus for turning angles but i have been seeing +0.5

tl:dr You can outrun a skulk very briefly, but never an Onos.

Eh...I don't think that's right. Still awesome effort overall. Unless it's all wrong of course!

    What do these speeds mean?

Strafe Jump is the speed boost you gain while jumping and strafing (side to side) as a marine.
Bunny Hop is most likely skulk/fade speed if you were to just bunny hop without touching walls although marines can reach extremely high bunny hop speeds when going down ramps.

Single Exo is faster than a rifle marine... this is just sick.

Does FPS have any link to this, it may seem a strange question but I remember on an old quake based engine that if you set the FPS to a certain level there was a mathamatical increase in the speed gained by Strafe jumping bunny hopping and circle jumping.

"Also, it's very important to cap your FPS at one of the magic numbers: 43, 76, 125, or 333".

Single exo has a limited sprint duration, so a rifle marine is still faster over the long haul. Either way, yeah, I'm always surprised that so many people don't know that single exos are actually not slow at all. They just can't use phase gates, which is the only real mobility limitation they have left (other than jumping).

For the record: minigun and railgun exos have substantially different speeds:
    -Single mini: 5.29
    -Single rail: 5.47
    -Double mini: 4.69
    -Double rail: 5.05
The only one that's actually "slow" is the double minigun, but anyone that's used them all probably already knows that.

That's what I thought, but then the numbers are dead wrong. How do you reach speed 11 as a marine? One strafe-jump brings you to about 6,25 with the rifle and no more. And 8 as a bunny-hopping skulk is a vast understatement, I have gone 11 as a non-celerity skulk and 15,5 as a celerity skulk without using a single wall.

//Oh wait maybe I shouldn't have said that.

I presume that everyone knows that you can do old-school style bunnyhopping (exactly, or with forward added if you like) to gain speed gradually up to maximum, as it's been discussed on these forums to death!

But I bet the speeds were supposed to be restricted at 10,9 and 15,4, respectively, and thus we'll have to cut one the skulk's legs off as compensation now.

I think the skulk base speed is lower - probably 6.2. It annoys me how marines can be the same speed.

marine strafe-jump is as fast as the leap speed? That explains a lot. They fixing this yet?
