Combat Mod Servers Lag Spiking Horribly

Is this something with the new build? Is it just specific servers? Or has it just always been like this?

If so that's a real shame... I played the hell out of some classic CO_maps today but the damn lag was god awful. Also noticed an issue where sometimes I would spawn and my main gun wouldnt fire at click unless I switched weapons. Other than that a lot of fun like old times!

Couldn't say whether its specific to the combat mod, but I can tell you server performance as a whole is alot worse the last couple builds.

Yeah I've noticed significant hitches even on none Combat servers

It sucks when you build a perfect computer but you still can't play games the way they are meant to be played due to servers. Its odd because looking at the BF3 and soon BF4 servers handling 64 players and map sizes dozens of times larger than NS2. I might be missing something as I don't know networking, but in my head it doesn't make sense.
