[Linux] Performance degradation +90%, after game and/or config change

The game performance seems to degrade after certain situations.
The easiest way to reproduce it, is changing graphics settings:
1-Enter game multi or training
2-Change resolution to any other and apply
3-Change resolution back to the original
4-FPS drops sharply, in my case from 40-60fps to 4-8fps
Also and more annoying:
1-Join one game, play and exit to menu
2-Menu seems more unresponsive
3-Join another game, it's unplayable due to fps, exit to menu
4-Menu seems even more unresponsive.
5-Enter training in a map I know I get +60fps, but that I get is sub 10fps
Despite a couple other issues, great game!
