A simple change to the orders system to help commanders

Right now the commander can give basic orders to Marines- move, attack, defend and build. Sadly, those last three can only be placed upon structures that the commander can currently see, not upon the map itself. These also don't last once a Marine has reached a location or die.
I would like to see a sort of "Team Objective" waypoint that a commander can place down. Allow them to put down two or three, and last indefinitely even if a Marine respawns until a commander deletes it. Something simple and non intrusive, like a milder version of the map ping with it's own sound and graphic on the map and HUD. Right now the three most useful would be "Attack here" "Defend here" and "Harass here". Note- this is an addition, not a replacement for the current system.
To lay out a simple scenario, on veil you would have a Defend Here placed on your phase position in nano grid, an Attack Here on the sub sector hive and a Harass Here on C12 and pipeworks. This gives the team a basic understanding of your plan without having to be reminded or ask what to do every two minutes. He wants us to hold nano, attack sub and harass pipeworks.
If we wanted to get really fancy, you could select Marines and click on the icon, instantly giving those Marines the orders relevant to that position via the current system. Or perhaps the commander could click the icon and cause a number to appear next to it, indicating the number of players he wants to commit to each task. One defending here, two harassing here, 5+ pushing etc.
Could you do all of this via voice or chat? Sure. But it's more a quality of life thing for comms, and for folks who joined the server after the command gave the 5 second round start briefing. It's faster, more intuitive (folks are already programmed by games to follow an objective marker) and allows players to understand the big picture a tiny bit better.
This mainly pertains to the Marine team, as Alien commanders can't give waypoints beyond "threat" and such (An issue that maybe deserves it's own topic).

I know it's inferior to voice, but many commanders do not use voice in pubs sadly, either due to language barrier or just being lazy.
