Crashing.

Hey.
Recently bought NS2 on Steam, upon running the game however it freezes and also stops me from performing any kind of actions (Alt-F4, Crtl-alt-dlt etc etc) The only way to rectify this is to Hard reboot my entire Pc.
Ive re-installed etc all the basic stuff. My Pc is waaaaaaay above the recomended specs. Anyone else experienced any sort of similar problem or know of a fix? Was really looking forward to playing. Thanks in advance.

I did read this prior to posting. I'm running no mods, the settings are all defaulted(due to not actually being able to ACCESS the game) All files have been installed in full. Only thing Im unable to complete is the techsupport.exe, Its not in the game's folder for whatever reason, which figures.
