Very bad stuttering if vsync isnt on, game still stutters abit with vsync but is greatly reduced

The game still stutters abit with vsync but is greatly reduced. When i last played the game was fine however i've hopped on since the update and its been awful.

Any ideas?

Go to the NS2.exe file in steam and go to it's properties and disable desktop composition.
