OPENGL on windows broken - also FPS issues with dx11

Hey UWE,

First off the game looks great as usual and im glad to see the new changes that have come in, especially the cat packs :) Unfortunately my FPS do not agree. Set my system to dx11 with shadows and AO turned off with no fps limit or vsync/buffering and I get around 110+ fps as usual but in certain scenarios like standing beside a railgun exo. As soon as he starts charging to shoot my fps drop to about 5 and the game almost dies until he fires and then it goes right back up to 100+.

Finally I decided to try out OPENGL for windows to see if it was any better in terms of performance versus dx11 and I get a bug where the game loads but only the drifter and the particles around the drifter are visible and the rest of the game is black. The menu options make sound when I mouseover but nothing other than that. OF course I'll go back to dx11 where the game is actually playable but I figured i'd post in case it wasn't widely known.

MSI 7970
intel 3770k @ 4.6ghz
latest amd beta & open gl drivers as of august 1 2013

running game @ 1920x1200 with AA, AO, Buffering, reflections off
high particles, AF on, quality @ 2, texture streaming on, minimal infestation and bloom all on
