The ALT (Press-to-talk) key

Anyone else having a problem where you're holding down the alt key and pressing another key, makes your window spews out the error sound? You know, that loud ping sound? I don't want to re-bind my push to talk key to somewhere else, since I got used to it and it's pretty convenient.

Only happens in windowed mode. Use borderless or fullscreen. (Yes it sucks though).

Your rebind is cool but would rather have my three fingers on WASD most of the time, would like to use my thumb for the voice instead, sorry

Personally I use mouse button 5 for voice. You should try it if you have a 5 button mouse, it actually interferes with fighting less than the talking does.

I use alt for map which makes this VERY annoying.

Nope, no mouse 5, just a normal mouse

If this is game destroying, you can simply remove the error ping from windows sounds or use the silent sound scheme.

The reason it does it is because it's trying to bring that little alt menu down like if you left click on the icon in a window on the top left. It's a bigger issue than just the sound I'm sure, it's probably spamming windows with the function.

Well, all it does is turn off the beep when you try to press a key and it bubbles up to windows. Masks the annoying beep until such time as this can get fixed in code:)

Having your talk button on your mouse isn't good because it takes your thumb force off the side which can mess with your tracking, I never recommend binding things to your mouse in a fast paced fps

Actually pushing the side buttons is just as simple as gripping the mouse a little bit tighter if it's in the right position. Not all mice are created equal though, but I absolutely love the shape and positioning of the buttons on the Deathadder. Besides, using the mouse button is going to interfere with your play FAR less then trying to hold down an extra key with your left hand while wall/strafe jumping. Seriously, WASD is 3 fingers, then you have one for sprint, one for jump, and probably your palm for crouch.
