hey guys. with the new movement for the marines its pretty much impossible for me to kill marines in an open battle. they can jump so far and so high that they have enough time to kill me. sometimes i lose orientation where the marine is...... are there any tips for me to get this marines? their new movement allows them to get so much time and distance that its really hard to get a single bite.

Team with other skulks, 1 parasite - draws fire while the other flanks/attacks, also time your bites to the marine dodge as in if they ate moving left then they wil dodge junp left so place yourself there,
But skulk play has mostly always been the same, ambush the marine and stay as close as u can.

jump in, bite once, jump aside and away (wall), jump over marine, turn and bite again, etc.

My best advice is don't be a lawnmower skulk. You have to time your bites. Most people just hold down m1 and try and get close to the marine, but if they're dodging you, you might be getting close enough to hit them, but you're missing because you were only close enough to hit for the brief second between bites.

The problem is the fov and erratic marine jumps. Before, you could predict where the marine lands, but right now, it's just roulette.

It's one-step-forward-two-steps-backwards with all these recent changes.

I think when a new patch lands, we all need to get use to the changes. I am an average player (I can't aim as marine), and play gorge so I don't have to get dizzy chasing marines. But I notice last night, I was getting more kills as a marine. There is alot of other factors here (new movement, noob skulks, I am just excited to play NS2 with new content...). But my point is, when a new build lands, everyone complains until they get good with what ever changes was made. So, I won't worry, you will be biting my butt very soon again :( .

Nah, the last time marines were ninjas they stayed ninjas until they were patched. It's not AS BAD right now, but it does feel quite unpleasant. Also somehow skulking feels a little slippery. But yeah, lets give it a few days.
