    The flame thrower is very op atm. I only ever use them if I have a jetpack. They are very strong for clearing out PVE. They are also good for going on a map decysting run with a jetpack but this takes a bit of game knowledge about when this is doable and what routes to take. You can decyst a whole map very quickly with 1.5 flame burst on each cyst.
