characters in name

does any know that could tell me how to type symbols into you name in NS2? for example if someone wanted to place things like this ♀☺♦♥♂ into their ns2 name how would they go about doing it? copy and paste does not work :(

    as my keyboard does not have the numpad (had to use a backup keyboard when mine died) I am using the on screen keyboard numpad and its not working for me ingame or not, could it be just an issue of the on screen keyboard not working for this purpose? is there any way to find and edit where the game saves the player name in a file somewhere?

    Alt characters only work in the menu, not the console, if that helps.

    Run charmap from Start->Run.
    You could put the silly characters into options.xml at %appdata%\Roaming\Natural Selection 2\(copy paste that into explorer), change <nickname>yournick</nickname>
    But please, keep your nickname easy to pronounce please, it's hard to yell at *\☺/*.
