Marine structures should be armor only

-Exos are armor only.
-Welding a building restores its HPs. However it doesn't restore HPs on friendly marines. Why ?
-Dropping medpacks on my phasegate does not work. Why ?
Why do structures have HPs ? They are purely mechanic ! HPs are for living souls. This is source of confusion.
The same applies of course to ARCs and MACs.
What do you think ?

If structures are armor only, they will be destroyed if built on infestation without any alien even touching it.
You do realize hp/armor split is in the game for balance reasons, right?
I haven't played much since B250 but I believe that infestation can already destroy a structure without any alien touching it.
What balance reasons are you refering to ?
The different weapon damage types, so as to make exos more effective vs. Onos, or pistols more effective for finishing a kill, for instance. It's the same idea for structures.
the "Armor" of buildings is more a Energyshield, which is easier to restore with the welder and works as puffer to get Marines time to get to the building to protect it before it takes serious damage.
Therefore i see no logic problem
