New Gun Model?

So I was playing NS2 yesterday and I noticed a completely new LMG model, complete with animations. Anyone else had this model ingame?



It was interesting, and I commented on it in game, but no one else knew what I was talking about. I even viewed the melee attack which is a bit different than the current LMG one.

I know there's a new weapon in BT, and possible weapon in upcoming patch, but I'd not seen anything until now.

Isn't in BT anymore. Was an SMG model someone spliced together a long time ago. It's on the workshop, are you sure you're not subscribed to it? It won't work in nearly all servers and if it was a server mod (like in old BT) everyone would have it.

Its either a very poor mod or a bug (with a mod.)

The viewmodel looks odd with its ammo counter sticking out, but it does not match the normal model shown on the left.
Now that one on the left may be a reskin, I am not sure. NS2 models color heavily with colored light sources just as stuff does in real life.

I think given the apearance of both models that its a bug with the viewmodel or a very ugly viewmodel mod.
It doesnt look, given the lighting coloring, that the normal model is modded.

I'm guessing you joined a server that had that mod installed.

Thanks guys. It was odd. I was on a server I play regularly, and I looked in my mods folder and I don't have it installed or active.

Mystery (somewhat) solved.
