Marines should always be highlighted/outlined from Alien's perspective.

If this change took place, it would fix the need to have alien vision on most of the time.

Um. That's the point of having Alien vision on. It has to have some drawbacks.

The only real drawback for alien vision is that you can't see openings in glass easily. Which has to be an unintended annoyance, rather than an interesting tradeoff. There's hardly any reason currently to play without it. Which is a shame since the devs have done such a great job making a beautiful game. What would really be missed if my proposed change took place? Alien vision would still be used in the dark so you could easily navigate the map.

    Mines?
I forgot about mines. I suppose they would glow too just like the marines. I don't see a problem with that.

Totally agree, absu. Alien vision still makes it easier to see marines but with the orange glow I won't have to knock into panes all the frikkin time. For those who have "no problem". THink of the people with fewer than 123412432140323423432432423452345 hours.

I will never understand why people play with alien vision on. I turn it on quick to parasite and check corners while "bunnyhopping." I do hit mines alot however :p But that's the only disadvantage and it's just my own fault for not checking with alien vision quickly.

End of day: Play with alien vision off and play with draw damage off

What is there to not understand? You just stated yourself that you use alien vision to spot marines easier while moving, and spotting mines. Why wouldn't you just leave alien vision activated most of the time instead? And when I say most of the time, I estimate 98% of the time. The only real reasons to deactivate alien vision are to see your cloaking state, and to navigate through glass panels.

    Because "Alien Vision"="Missed Bites/Swipes"

It's also boring, like draw damage and friendly fire off

How about we just fix glass and cloaking visibility with alien vision?

    Whoa logic!

You're right joshhh. They should fix those two issues. But I'm addressing a larger issue. Even if you don't have your graphics settings maxed out, this is a nice looking game. Wouldn't you like to enjoy the setting? I really like the way alien vision looks. Perhaps I should have left that disclaimer originally. I would like to alternate naturally between the two modes of vision as I play. I believe this is what the developers intended, and I think it was a good idea.

I'll put it simply for those who don't understand. My idea buffs the alien's "normal" vision to highlight marines and their structures, and perhaps alien structures too(I just thought of this). The "alien" vision will remain the same because it does such a good job already. It doesn't need a buff. It will simply serve as night vision for the darker areas.
