Some questions about chambers and upgrades in 250

countbasiecountbasie Join Date: 2008-12-27 Member: 65884Members
1. What has changed with the crags for buildings and players? Do they add up when multiple crags are dropped? (I noticed that sometimes only one will be healing players)
2. How does cloak work? Will a shade cloak me completely invisible? Or only when standing still? How about the camouflage upgrade with three veils?
3. Do multiple shifts give energy faster? Do the players share the energy speedup or does it have full effect on every player nearby?
4. Is there any way to spawn eggs around the map other than echoing them?
5. Is there a way to gain biomass other than upgrading hives and waiting?
6. Did I forget something?

    1. Each crag can only heal one player.

    2. A single veil grants the full cloaking effect. You cloak to 95% in about one second while standing still. The cloak amount rapidly falls off as you start moving. Additionally levels of veil do not increase this effect.

    3. Each shift gives a full effect to every player. Shifts do not stack.

    4. No.

    5. No.

    6. No?

I believe Crags heal up to 3 players (structures?) per crag, and multiple crags don't stack (though I have to test if multiple crags heal you faster), as there is a cool down between heals, so the 2nd crag might step in, when the first has just done its healing thing.

    Some more from me:

    1) Does nutrient mist speed up maturity of more than one structure that is next to the one you misted?

    2) Does heal spraying the spur/shell/veil speed up evolution upgrades? What about heal spraying hive research? So far it only seems to affect speed of structures building.

    3) Does ink properly block line of sight now once activated? IE... If a scan was just activated within the Shade's radius, will it immediately cancel the LOS benefit for marines, along with blocking ARC LOS?

    4) What percentage is cloak at now when not moving and full 3 chamber strength, 95%?

    5) Does the flamethrower destroy bile bomb in the air, or is it only on the decal that appears on the floor\walls? Is it better to continuously grease up your exo buddy with flames when attacking a hive to fully negate gorge bile? I noticed it 'poofs' umbra/spore well now.

    1) Yes, anything within its range in fact.

    2) No and no. Only structure building. I have a follow-up question on this: does it speed up maturity on built structures?

    3) Yes and it really works now, but the ink effect is much shorter.

    4) Yes, 95%.

    5) Never tried that, but I believe it only clears bile from friendly units. And it always cleared Lerk clouds before. It can also disable crags, shifts and shades.

Hm. So cloak isn't really an option since they will see you anyway.

To the crags: That can't be right... I had two crags with 3 people around it. Only one healed. When one crag heals one player, both should have been healing. When one crag heals three players, why does the other one do nothing then? Because both crags should be able to heal if there is an upper limit.
What about structures. Will a crag in the middle of some structures heal them all?

I mean I ask that stuff because I wanna know how many crags it makes sense to place a) at the hive for healing the base b) at a foward base for the players. Anyone?

Crags heal up to 3 targets and each target can be healed by one crag only.

Cloaking is so viable. If you cloak where I'm walking, you're dead. If you cloak with some thought as to marine movement, they dead... or armorless
