SRY I HAD A FEW TYPO'S THE CAN IN THE LAST SENTANCE OF THE TITLE IS SUPOSED TO BE (CANT)
AND THE WORNG IS SUPOSED TO BE WRONG

I've had it, it's been my Antivirus periodically flagging NS2.exe as a potential threat and wanting confirmation to allow or quarantine it. Try whitelisting it in whatever AV you use, or when your on the black screen try alt/tabbing or Alt/Ctrl/Del to get up the task manger, see if there is an flag from your AV.

ok i fixed it aperently i had to restart my comp so its all good and thsnk you for your replys tshey kindof helped

can someone help me with this? ive restarted so it isnt that but i get a blank screen and have to manually turn my pc off to get out the screen. no music and cant rpess anything. this happens whenever i try to launch the game. i built my pc myself and have never had this problem on any other games. my specs are high enough and im on windows 7

Everey time I had this issue it was a directX thing, like it didn't get installed prior to launching the game.

I solved it by re-installing NS2
