Can't publish a simple crosshair mod

Created a mod folder with Launch Pad. Put the /ui/crosshair files.dds inside the source folder of the mod folder. Clicked publish. Output folder is empty and mod on steam workshop just contains the modinfo text file.

What do to create mod?

    why make a new one.. My xhairs are awesome. /brags.

    Ok serious now, you place your crosshairs in the output folder. It needs no compiling so you ignore the input folders.

    * make a new mod.
    * go to output\ui
    * place the 2 dds xhair files in the ui folder.
    * publish & enjoy

    oooh OK. That seems strange to me, regardless of needing compiling. Output seems to be where the output of what is inside the published mod after publishing should go. Even if its the same.

    Thanks.

    its a lil confusing at first but no.
    Output is your end result files. xhair mods are not made by source files but by editing end result files.
