Pre Caching takes ages

I honestly don't know what is causing it, but this occurs no matter what I have my settings at.

When I click to join a server, the usual things happen, the loading and what not, but when I get to the precaching, that can take upwards of three minutes. By that time, the game is already going, and I am way behind and I should count myself lucky if I even get on my friends team let along do well enough against other players who have a feel for how the game is rolling.

I also have issues during the game where sometimes I'll go into an area and I'll freeze up, takes about 10 seconds before my game starts moving again. My computer is fine, I've played games more taxing than NS on it and still do with little issue, but this is just ruining NS2 for me right now.

Slow hard drive speed/ram speed/bad performing cpu/bad ram, so many things. One thing I do know though, apart from texture streaming, settings won't change the speed at all.

The freezing issue is possibly caused by having texture streaming off and a gpu with low memory. Try turning it on. OR it could be caused by having it on and having a slow pc, turn it off.

This has been reported before but i dont think we got any useful info.
Do me a favor and recreate this scenario, but before you join a game type r_loading true in the console (~ key). Once you've loaded into the ready room, quit the game.
Upload your log.txt immediately, its found in your hidden %appdata%\Natural selection 2\ folder.
