Build 250 alien screen clutter

I watched build 250 gameplay videos and noticed, that there's icons on the left side of screen showing how fully upgraded the evolutions are. That info is nice to have, but it could be shown more subtly. For example current carapace level could be shown on the armor semicircle so that it thickens as armor levels are researched. Adrenaline could have something similar or perhaps some kind of increasing background glow below the stamina bar. Icons that show how many shells and spurs have been made could be hidden in the evolve menu.

    I think it's fine the way it is. It shows you when there are new traits researched that you did not evolve yet and it keeps you subtly informed about losing trait structures or gaining more. Splitting specific upgrades like Carapace to different parts of the menu would not be an intuitive layout. And it's not really that cluttering once you got used to it. I've been seeing it in Balance Test for ages now and it never really bothered me at all.

    I would prefer to be able to glance at the evolution icons as reminder, but their positioning and size are sorta in the way IMO.

    Would be nice to have em shrink a bit and stick close to the right of the HP/Armor circle. Passive stuff on the left and active abilities on the right!

    I don't see why thickening or thinning armor semicircle would be unintuitive. If it would be 3-layered with each layer sligthly darker, you could quickly see how upgraded it is. And since you visit evolve menu all the time to choose the upgrades you want, you could easily check how many shells or spurs have been made. I haven't played BT -mod at all and maybe that's why all those icons are like a thumb in my eye. I don't like them at all. A brief notification, that lasts a few seconds, is okay but those shouldn't stay on all the time.

    this kind of thing is expected when you take hackjob mod assets and put them in the main game. Im surprised this ui work is seriously being deployed (along with the rest of the mod)
