Did you do 90% of the damage to an extractor only for someone to swoop in and get the points? No worries. You get 90% of 15, which is 13.5 - round it up to 14.

If you get the final hit on a unit, it counts as a kill. If not it counts as an assist. BUT an assist can be more valuable than a kill due to the proportional representation - I mean why not?

Only possible counter to this is when something gets healed. AT THE VERY LEAST, even if this problem could never be assuaged, it is still more fair than the current system (and not complex at all).

But what about possible counters to healing? Well every minute the proportion could be reset. Deal 1000 damage but it hasn't been hit for a minute? Your contribution is reset. Do not fear though, because this usually (around 20% shall one say) doesn't happen - someone usually happens to come across it or you go yourself.

But I don't like this system that much. What if a skulk repeatedly backs away over multiple encounters such that 10 marines could have a proportion on him? Shrink that point accumulation - it would be like each marine getting one point - remember to always round up, rather than give nothing.

I could go on, but I'll leave it at this for now. The scoring system is a bit shitty and I think everyone agrees. So does anyone agree with my overall sentiment and have anything to contribute?

PS: To all the "omg i dont even care im cool and i play with sunglasses on and everything etc etc" - Don't comment then. :)
