Hi,

Last night and saw something really strange... kind-of small mini-crosshair appearing at random location in my screen. I was able to screenshot them without trouble.

Note : they only appeared for a brief moment; and it is the first time I saw this behaviour; but looking at a older screenshot I found one that had such a thing (the one with the scoreboard; which I didn't even realize there was a crosshair at that time).

Also, in the batch of screenshots I took, there wasn't always a crosshair appearing; there was some screenshots beside the 5 similar ones that had no mini-crosshair.

I don't recall the server I was on; but it was a public one (I just remembered having taken screenshots of that). I was either on UWE, TBG, KKG (King Kahuna Gaming), NG (National Gaming), in the Onos Bar or in Petey's playhouse (looking at my history).

iMad

EDIT : The fact that the server has 999 isn't related I believe; it is just that I wanted to screenshot those "non-common" values.

It seems to appear more on the seams (i.e. not in the middle of a clean wall).

I was able to replicate this today on The Onos Bar (with 32-33-34 players). I believe it might be related to a massive number of thing to consider in the render process, or too many entity, etc...

Notice that one of the image has both top left and bottom right with that.

Also, note that everything is disabled or set to "off" in the graphic menu, unless multiprocessor rendering.

that definitely looks like some form of rendering issue or interaction with the shader.. notice how its conveniently aligned with world geometry polygons?
i take it this only happens with alien vision?

The devs think it has to be a problem with your graphics card, as they are not sure what could cause artifacts like that.
    Thats all i got. :-/

    ^ ==> =)

And I was able to reproduce it again on a laggy server but with a normal amount of players (~18 I think)

i have this problem for ages now. might be the world geometry. i noticed it only happens on edges that have "steps" (those things that dont happen with AntiAliasing).

    edit: gtx 460 SE here

I realized I didn't say what my graphic card was. GTX 560 Ti (first edition of the GTX560 Ti of ZOTAC; there is 5 it seems).

Well got the new card already and got to say it's much less noticable than before (AA enabled)
But still you can see it where the tiles or verts in the level design connect.

This is also visible without alien-vision on on my system (gtx 560 ti [2nd gen], every driver version), but it's very harder to see. Basically, it's gaps between geometry showing. None of the settings (including AA) change this. I expected the AA to fill in the gaps, since it appears on the jagged edges. It's easier to detect on lower resolution because of the increased size of the jaggies. However, I play a native resolution.
