Can i run NS2 with this config?

Hi , i was wondering about buying this game but i had a really bad computer so i was waiting the right moment to buy it. I upgraded a bit my pc 2 weeks ago and i'd like to know if my actual config could make it run or not:

-I3-3240 3.4Ghz
-Radeon 7870XT
-8Gb ddr3

I heard that the game needed a strong CPU, do you think my dual-core is enough?

    It will run it for sure. Ns2 needs strong single threaded performance and doesn't use much more than 2 cores. That i3 has pretty strong single threaded. You may drop to like 45fps during worst case late game scenarious but should be able to keep well over 60+ fps. This is speaking from my experience with a 2500k at stock 3.3ghz. My phenom 965 at 3.3ghz maintained above 60fps too.
