Skulk sprint ability

I would like to see new ability for our little friend. I would like to see sprint ability for skulk (like onos, but much more controllable). It would consume energy and buff skulks speed for short time. Sprint bind to shift, sneak bind to ctrl. Upgrade might be available in mid to late game to increase survivability of skulks in later parts of game.

Sounds good as a replacement to celerity upgrade. The energy drain needs to be higher in combat though.

Why? biting saps energy as is...that should be enough of a penalty for using it "in combat".

Sprint would be much more useful than trying to re-invent bunnyhopping into ns2....easier for newer players to understand.

Now is quite funny / pathetic to chase sprinting marine or crazy jumper without celerity. :P I dont like the whole idea of bunnyhoping or wall jumping to gain speed. Anyway celerity is now useful only for movement around the map. In combat it does almost nothing. Skulk in combat have to be more agile and faster.

    What about leap?

It's a movement skill that cost energy... and can be used in combat.

Just one detail, Ctrl already has a function, bind it to another key, maybe R or something. Other than that, good idea, might work

Yes, leap is very useful for movement, but in close combat not. Leap is great for jumping around rine to lose his sight of viev on You. Pro gamers probably dont need sprint to be happy. Sprint is a basic movement, friendly to casual players.

sprint is in balance test right now, however as someone who's played a lot of skulk I never seem to use it. But I do like it because it's very simple for newer players to move quicker

This already exists in the game as leap, without celerity or leaping from large heights and then rebounding from wall to wall to keep their momentum. Leap is the lazy mans speed boost, it allows you to go from 0 to full tilt with the click of a button, very large energy drain. However it does allow you to chase down fleeing marines!

I would love to see a upgraded bite option to take away celerity. Would make skulks much more viable late game after losing a higher life form.

In late game skulk is a meatshield. Kill armor 3 marine with skulk and glancing bites is quite pathetic. About exo or rine jp you can forget. When You lose your lifeform You are *** up.
