Where are all the maps?

I see a few maps. Why was Veil ported over to NS2 but not eclipse or nancy? Some of these "new" maps are pure confusing and not fun. I forget the name but there is a dark tunnel map. Also why was mineshaft ported over? It was once of the worst NS1 maps out there right next to the Ollj map (think it was Origin). Bad maps do not need to be ported over. Just good maps. Eclipse is a must. Nancy is a must.

    Creating/balancing/fixing maps is A LOT of work, you conclusion that NS map will work perfectly with NS2 is wrong btw, Veil needed a lot of tweaking to actually work with the new NS2 gameplay elements ;)

    Have a look at the mapping forums if you want to see the current maps which are in progress, there are also a lot of NS map remakes being worked on.

    Also Mineshaft wasn't ported over, it just has the same name, the map however is completely different...

    NS2 maps are easy to make. I've started ns2_fade yesterday, and it will be done tonight. It is already balanced, as I have studied interior design. It is one of the biggest maps, taking advantage of the whole NS2 mapping tool. It is basically a mmofps ns map. It has a total of 40 hive spots. It supports 200 players if the netcode can be done to increase it. Basically its a big war out in the open. I'm going to start testing it soon.

    The hard part is the commander interface as since I am layering a complete map ontop of another map, getting the commander to see which layer to look at is tough. Maybe it will turn out to be a co map so no commander. Right now, I believe it is the best map ever worked on for ns2. It will be. When it's done, I'll see if UWE would like to buy it.
