The Onos Paralyze!

use it more often! all of you!
Onos are great, but theyre not invincible. id say maybe 4 or 5 heavy armored marines with hmg's could take one with ease...UNLESS its a very smart Onos using paralyze o_o I hardly ever see anyone use it, half of them ask what it does or if it even works. I don't think everyone realizes that paralyze is a ranged attack and works quite well. What are 4 or 5 heavy armoed marines gonna do if they cant shoot? Theyre gonna get trampled as you charge at them! I personally prefer Fades over Onos, but i advise everyone that evolves into onos the exact second that the third hive is done, to use paralyze. It's actually saved me from wasting 70 resources the few times ive used Onos.

Marines can shoot while paralyzed, they just can't move.

yeah, hmm....with any number of marines you can just Charge them with your and they will all die pretty much instantly...I've really not found any need for paralyze most of the time, except maybe to run back to def chambers for a heal and keep off pursuit, or something else where I'm not going to be killing someone right away for whatever reason...but for actual headon combat, charge for infantry and bite for buildings works pretty well for me...nothing lives long enough to do much damage, until of course i break into the actual spawn with like 6-8 marines all shooting at me and respawning at me...but in that situation para wouldnt help much either.

Paralyse vs a jetpacker is funny though.

Paralyse.... It seems to work like a pistol: at range AND instantly!

And if you get a jetpacker, he plummets down, often taking damage too. Its chuckle time.

I've been in a Jetpack, hit a Web, and fallen down and died. Its kinda funny that Web will stop your jetpack from working but it won't prevent you from falling to the ground.

    Damn you, gravity.

I find that hilarious. I've seen more than a few Jetpackers who have actually taken hits and have tried to escape without decelerating their descent rate.

If only Paralyze was on a slightly smaller alien. I just can't play an Onos effectively to pull one off being a Lerk player, though the animation strangely reminds me of mutant macaroni.
