Im not sure what the deal with this is, i joined a protected server, played a few rounds, left, and now im unable to rejoin it or any other protected servers 20 minutes later. So far i've tried restarting the game, steam, and validating NS2's cache twice but nothings worked.
Is there anything else i can try?

I have this same issue. I cannot join ANY NS2Stats server without deleting the entire contents of /Workshop. I get consistency errors every time. I can then re-enter the game and the mods (mod: One crosshair mod. Haven't tried with multiple) and it works fine. If I close it, it will fail again until I delete the contents of /Workshop. Epic Epic EPIC fail. I have only the single crosshair mod subscribed, and which mod I have subbed doesn't seem to matter. This is really frustrating, but sounds more like an ns2stats problem than anything.
I get the same lua consistency check failure messages in console.
Hopefully ns2stats or unknownworlds or wherever the problem lies can go ahead fix this soon for us.
exactly the same.
remove all mods you have have supscripted too.
then delete the workshop folder in %appdata%.
join the game and try to join a server.
If its still not working, try to add and download a mod from the workshop again.
Simply deactivating it or simply deleting it works for very few issues.
Should be noted this is an issue with steam work shop. They are still growing the beautiful infrastructure.
Interesting issue, I also wish we had a download filter, so we could join servers and not download anything. Nothing against mods, but I don't want "ns2stats" or "DAK admin kit" especially if that's just a server side plugin, why would I need it on my client
